The approach of the Hire Success System is that each person represents a unique combination of the four personality types. Instead of giving people descriptive “labels”, we decided to keep them simple and label different personality types like “A”, “B”, “C” and “D”. Since the applicant is asked to respond to the personality profile form according to his degree of “work”, the result indicates which of the four types he draws the least and to varying degrees.
The summary report provides a bar graph with a percentage of “strength” for each of the 4 personality types. The higher the percentage, the more “strong” or dominant this type of personality is. If two or more personality types are close to each other or of equal strength, the applicant may also be characteristic of each type.
The “X” type personality
Whenever two or more personality types are equally strong, the Hire Success System adds an “X” to those personality types. For example, if the two personality types of a candidate with the highest strength were “A” and “B”, the system would report them as “AX” and “BX”. In the extremely rare case where the four types are identical, Hire Success classifies the applicant as personality type “X”.
The “X” designates a “cross” or an intersection of two or more types. It is not uncommon to see the “X” between two of the 4 personality types, and it does not necessarily have to contain the main (or strongest) personality. However, if it is the main personality, the claimant may tend to be like a type in one situation and like the other type in another situation. Even if the 4 types are very strong, the applicant can appear as a “chameleon” of personalities. In many cases, this can be beneficial for many jobs, especially when it is important that they can get along with almost everyone, such as salespeople. Personality type “X” tends to change “personality colors” as needed, depending on who it is with. While this rare combination is sometimes somewhat unpredictable, it can be an important advantage when used to the full.

The Type “A” Personality
Personality “A” likes to be responsible and controls his environment and his life. They are generally not very detailed, but delegate the details to others. They are generally very goal-oriented and practical in their solutions. However, to achieve their solutions and goals, a factual “bottom line” approach is required.
Type “A” people don’t like a lot of restrictions, but prefer to work independently and set their own schedules. Since they are often prone to workaholics, it is not uncommon for them to spend time and effort to achieve their goal. They can sometimes seem impatient, especially if they think someone is spending too much time discussing the details with them or preventing the achievement of a goal or project they are focusing on.
Don’t be surprised if you see this type of personality in a leadership position. If you have entrepreneurial experience, you can be an entrepreneur or try to start your own business someday. The “A” type personality is not easily discouraged and generally gives off confidence.
If their work is “routine” or repeats itself day after day, they get bored quickly and do not appreciate their work. They want it to seem “hard” in these situations, but internally, they can be miserable if the job is too routine. The type “A” personality will do everything to prevent him from being part of a model or routine and to strive for freedom and independence instead. They will also be very upset if they think someone is trying to take advantage of it or hold it back.
Personality “A” may not be very good at recognizing an employee’s feelings and needs. not because they don’t care, but because they focus so much on achieving their goals. If you are looking for someone who works well under pressure and seems to shine in high stress situations, type “A” is probably what you are looking for.
The Type “B” Personality
Personality “B” is a very sociable, energetic and quick person who likes to be with people and likes to be the center of attention. They are good relationship builders and most people love them immediately. Their driving need is to approve, so they try and love everyone in the hope that everyone will reciprocate and love them. Compliments, recognition of their achievements, words of admiration and even group applause are the most important thing you can do for them.
Type B personalities love to talk about themselves and some may consider them self-centered, but their real motivation is to be loved. An extreme example is the character Bette Midler played in the movie “Beaches” when she invited an old friend into her spacious apartment and told her friend about her own success. Then she said to the friend, “Enough of me, let’s talk about you. So what do you think of me?”
Her greatest fear is to be humiliated in public, as this could frustrate many people and the thought would be devastating. Personality “B” also doesn’t want to look unattractive or unsuccessful, so she makes sure her appearance is flawless and always gives the impression that she does very well in everything she does, whether she is or not. no.
Some of the strengths you can count on with personality “B” are their enthusiasm, their open-minded behavior, their friendliness towards others and their ability to convince even the most skeptical people. They tend to be “dreamers” and can often translate those dreams into very practical ideas in the workplace. Type B personalities are usually spontaneous and use their quick wit and humor to get people to love them. They are also not as good at hiding their own feelings. So if they are hurt or disappointed, you can probably read it in their general ways and outlook.
Some of the natural weaknesses associated with the “B” personality include impatience, a relatively short attention span, and an under-detailed position. In business, Type B personalities tend to socialize at work and spend less time working because they seek social interaction. Although this is their natural tendency, many have learned to control themselves and keep an eye on their social nature.
The Type “C” Personality
Personality “C” is a very detailed person who likes to get involved in controlled and stable things. You are interested in precision, rationality and logic. People who seem unable to control their emotions will bother them because they believe that objectivity is difficult or impossible if they are emotional. They also don’t like being with people full of “hype” because they want facts, accuracy and logic. The feelings of others may not be a priority for them because they tend to look for the facts and “drop the chips where they want”.
Type “C” personalities tend to control themselves and others. They don’t like it when things get out of hand and sometimes don’t seem very expressive because they don’t really want them to show a lot of emotions. They are very results oriented and can follow the procedures and protocols below to get the job done. They are cautious, resourceful, and most importantly, excellent thinkers who examine all aspects of a problem before taking a position. Once they have taken a position on a subject, they have the facts to back it up so that anyone who disputes it is better prepared.
They want their tasks to be clearly defined and know exactly what is expected of them. If you know these facts, you can prioritize and complete your tasks.
In decision-making positions, they are cautious, logical and require a lot of details and facts before making a decision. People who try to sell something to them by trying to involve them emotionally usually don’t make them buy because the type “C” personality sees them as “hype artists” and wonders which ones. Facts they want to hide from all the hype.
In more public roles, the “C” type aspires to originality, prudence and uniqueness in everything it does. Because of their detailed orientation, they are meticulously prepared with all the details so that no one can disagree. For example, many accountants and lawyers are “C” personalities. They are ideal for any job that requires creative thinking based on patience, facts and precision.
The Type “D” Personality
Personality “D” takes a slower and easier step towards work and life in general. They seek safety and longevity at work and are very happy to do a repetitive task day after day because the repetition allows them to be very qualified in what they do. However, you will not like it when the rules change a lot, because it goes against your desire to minimize the changes and stick to what you know can work. An extreme example that we have all seen or heard is that of accountants who refuse to use computers because they can rely on the old method and do not want to change. The “D” resists the change in fear that the current path will be uncomfortable, but the unknown may be even more uncomfortable.
They seek respect, sincere admiration and acceptance of others. Personality “D” will gladly work to please the people for whom it works as long as it feels valued and will receive much confirmation that it is necessary to provide a sense of security, which you need. They often think that personality type “A” is crazy to take so many risks and care little about safety and longevity.
“D” type personalities are generally very well organized and if they find themselves in a chaotic environment, they are disturbed by disorganization. They can also play a very favorable role for others and are generally very attentive, thoughtful and compassionate. They are patient, listen well and will persevere when everyone has given up. You particularly like working in a group or in a team and will be a stabilizing force within this group or this team.
Although they are not as fast as others, they are precise and thorough. They will usually keep their feelings to themselves and be reluctant to speak out, even if a more confident guy seems to be enjoying them. You will likely choose to “join us to hear yourself”.
In order to acquire the “D” personality, you need to be sure and talk about the company’s service package and the company’s long-term growth potential. Having a safe and stable environment will be very important for the “D” personality.
Application Of the 4 Basic Personality Types: A, B, C, and D
The descriptions above are identical or similar to those listed in the recruitment summary report. The system automatically provides a description of the main personality at the start of the summary report. Variations of the above are printed when the personality is an “X” personality combined with another type.
These personality descriptions of types A, B, C and D are “classic” descriptions which are intended to provide you with general information about this particular personality. The Hire Success system uses this classic description in contrast to the specific descriptions and values in the “Features” section of the report. In many cases, the individual characteristics of the applicant may at least partially differ from the characteristics described in the general description of personality.
The Hire Success System determines the characteristics independently of the personality calculation and is not based on the characteristics to be expected from a certain personality type. This opens the door to highlight the differences that make this claimant unique, not someone trapped in one of the 4 boxes. If you see a characteristic that deviates from the characteristic described in the personality overview, this is not an error. On the contrary, it is very probably the real trait that you can expect from the applicant on a daily basis, and not just a “waiting” based on a classic personality description A, B, C or D.
